“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

In a world that often feels draining, it is easy to find our "hope tanks" running on empty. We try to manufacture optimism through positive thinking or favorable circumstances, but human effort has its limits.

True, abundant hope doesn't come from our situation; it comes from a Person. Paul describes God as the very source of hope. When we shift our focus from our problems to His promises, a divine exchange occurs. As we trust Him, He pours in joy and peace—not just enough to get by, but enough to spill over.

This "overflow" is not meant to stay within us. It is powered by the Holy Spirit to reach a thirsty world. Today, stop trying to pump up your own hope. Instead, sit in His presence and let Him fill you until you cannot help but share His light with everyone you meet.

Pray this: Lord, I come to You weary and empty. I choose to trust You today instead of my own strength. Fill me with Your joy and peace until hope overflows from my heart to those around me, in Jesus’ Name Amen

In January of 2021, Ed went home to be with the Lord after a brave fight with colon cancer.
