We just returned home from the Dallas, TX Monavie 2.0 function. I believe what happened at that event will have a significant impact on the world. Yes, that is what I said, the WORLD!!
We have been in ministry for thirty years and with that experience comes a sensitivity of how God works and how the enemy works. Let me explain. If the ministry results are to be very significant for an upcoming event, the warfare becomes intense. All hell breaks loose, and every obstacle imaginable is placed in our path to discourage us, or keep us from even attending the event. The warfare before the Monavie 2.0 event was the worst we have ever experienced. About two weeks before this event I told Cheryl that I believed a person or persons would be changed at this function in such a powerful way that they would go on to change the world because the warfare we were experiencing was so out of the ordinary. Now, in my mind, I thought that person would be a Monavie related person, and many were changed at our Sunday morning service and some of them will touch the world, but little did I know that God had even bigger plans. There is always one sure way you can know when God plans something. It is when you did not plan it or think of it yourself. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. His thoughts are always higher than our preconceived ideas.
At the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, TX, there was another convention being held at the same time the Monavie function was in progress. The State of Texas High School BETA Club members were holding their convention at this same site. Thousands of teenagers were everywhere, laughing and running around like teenagers do. On Saturday night, as we were breaking down the New Life Network bookstore, several men in suits came into our store. One of the men introduced me to the State Director of the Texas BETA Club and asked if I would please speak to him privately. As we spoke, this man began to tell me of a tragedy that had just taken place in the hotel. One of the BETA teenagers had fallen from an upper floor balcony of the hotel to the second floor restaurant area and died. Many of the teenagers and some of our Monavie people were in this second floor restaurant area when this transpired. It was a horrific scene. The State Director told me that he had a ballroom full of shocked and crying teenagers and would we come minister and pray with his kids. We of course said yes and Cheryl and I immediately went with him to meet with these grief stricken teenagers.
We have seen and experienced many things with the Lord over the last thirty years of ministry, but that ballroom full of crying teenagers was indescribable! We had a very special ministry time with those young people. One of God’s specialties is to turn what the enemy means for harm to the good (Genesis 50:20). As hard as that situation was, we believe that many of those teens had a life changing experience that night and some of them will not only touch their generation, but they will change the world! This was a divine appointment for us and them and I am so glad we serve a God that is well able to handle even the worst situations.
We ask all of our supporters to please pray for the family of this young man that lost his life in Dallas. This is a parent’s worse nightmare and I cannot even imagine the pain and sorrow this mother and father are experiencing. We also ask you to pray for all these BETA teenagers in Texas that witnessed and was a part of this horrific incident.
God was not responsible for this young man’s death! We have an enemy, the thief, that comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). He has been trying to snuff out the lives of babies and young people from the beginning but God is in the life business. I believe that a very crucial and important young person or persons was forever changed by those events in Dallas and they will be used by God to change the world. Please agree with us in prayer for that to happen.
We learned later that this young man that perished was a Christian so we know where he is this day. So devil, you lose at every turn. What you meant for harm will be turned to the good through the lives of these young people, in JESUS name! This young man did not die in vain. Much fruit will come forth.
