A Nugget from New Life Network

Scripture for the Day (September 19, 2018)

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39)

Many of you that are part of networking were friends and/or acquaintances with Dr. David Atiyeh. We have been friends with David and his wife Susan for nearly 30 years and we are saddened to notify you that David passed away on September 13. We are sad in one way but we rejoice in another way because we know where David is. He is not dead! He is alive and well in Heaven, and talking with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:26)

The following is part of the obituary published by David’s family which will give you some additional information on David’s life and also the upcoming funeral service.

Dr. David Gregory Atiyeh of Grass Lake, MI, age 63, went home to be with the Lord on September 13, 2018 with his family by his side. David is survived by Susan, his loving wife of 38 years; children Dominic, Anthony, and Alecia, grandchild Ava and older brother to JR. David was born on May 9, 1955 to Frederick and Nicolena Atiyeh. He attended St. Valentine (Redford), Stevenson High School (Livonia), Schoolcraft Community College (Livonia), Central Michigan University (Mount Pleasant), and Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, Iowa). He practiced as a Chiropractor from Ludington, MI to Jacksonville, FL; and eventually settled in Plymouth, MI where he enjoyed being part of the community and providing care. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, and furthering his education. He always wanted to learn more so that he could provide more to his patients. That was just one example of him always putting others before himself. His love for God would illuminate from his presence. He regularly prayed with his patients, family, friends, and himself for guidance in fulfilling his purpose from God. Come celebrate David’s life and love for God with us on Saturday September 22, 2018 at 11 A.M. at Northville Christian Assembly of God, with Pastor Steve Samonek officiating. Please share your memories of David in lieu of this celebration. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating and a set of hard working hands are laid to rest.

Memorial contributions may be made to Blums Landing, 7460 Ocqueoc, Millerburg, MI 49759 or Destiny House, 14410 SE Petrovitsky Road, Suite 209, Renton, WA 98058 www.destinghouserc.org.

David was a good man! I will never forget the times he would give chiropractic adjustments to people that were working at the many functions we all attended together. He was a very giving person. He had a particular love for Destiny House which is a project being built by David and Lisa Mitts to help girls come out of the sex trafficking arena. Your financial support of that project would be greatly appreciated. Please pray for the Atiyeh family during this difficult time!!!
