A Nugget from New Life Network
Scripture for the Day April 5, 2019
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)
We are on the road again and we need your prayers. Most of you are aware that we serve as Chaplains for several different corporations and the next two months are going to be very busy for us. We are presently in Meridian, MS driving to Dallas, TX for three days of meetings which will conclude with a Sunday morning service. The next week we are flying to Chicago, IL for three days of meetings which will also conclude with a Sunday morning service. The next week we are driving to Memphis, TN for our grandson’s wedding (the grandson that lost his mother in the fire at Christmas). Pray for us!!! It is going to be a very busy month.
We never imagined we would be doing a ministry to the marketplace. In fact, even to this day, we don’t even know anyone else that does what we do. Most people are bewildered when we tell them what we do.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)
My wife and I have been serving the Lord in ministry since 1982 (37 years) and it has been an adventure. We have gone wherever He opened the doors and that has included various churches, prisons, overseas missions, street fairs, and corporate events. We have served as Chaplains to several corporations since 1989 (30 years) and have seen thousands of people come to the Lord in a harvest field we did not even know existed.
Now, were we directly responsible for all those salvations? Absolutely not!!! We have had a great team of people that have led the way and walked this road with us and we are so grateful for them. Some of those people include the Harts who founded New Life Network and have been the visionary leaders and President of our Ministry; the Kalbs, Soucineks, and Burnetts, that have been corporate leaders that have allowed us to be a part of their corporate events; the ministry teams of the Mitts, Rowlands, and Iannellos that are the real deals in their individual ministries; the Storms with Convention Planning; and many, many more that are too numerous to list!!!
Last, but not least, we need to thank the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost because they are the ones that really do the work in people’s hearts. We are just ministers that plant and water.
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. (1 Corinthians 3:5-7)
We learned a long time ago that two-thirds of God’s name is “GO”. The most critical thing in evangelism is to show up. If we will just go when He says go, and show up where He tells us to show up, it is amazing what can be accomplished. We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation.
Thank you Lord for choosing all of us to minister to your people. Be with us these next few weeks to touch lives and introduce people to your son Jesus. Holy Spirit, anoint us to speak and bring to our remembrance everything we need to say.
