A Nugget from New Life Network

(by Tim McKitrick of World Ministry Fellowship)

Scripture for the Day – August 13, 2020

So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders. (Acts 14:3)

Are you ready for the next season God has prepared for you to step into? I believe we are entering a new season – in the Kingdom of God, in our nation, and in the world around us. As a result, it has the potential to be a new season for our ministries as well.

God is setting the stage for the church to “rise and shine,” to minister to the lost and hurting all over the planet. Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. (Isaiah 60:1-3)

What an incredible opportunity we are watching unfold before our eyes! The darker the world gets, the brighter our light shines! “And His glory will be seen upon you”! We get to live in the age where the church is called to walk in the presence of God and carry His glory into our world, where we live. “The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising”! Are you ready to step into your harvest?

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10). God has a plan for you and your ministry to fulfill in this season, are you ready? We have the opportunity and responsibility to act differently in what we see happening around us. God wants us to walk in His love, His joy, His peace and to be anxious for nothing, as we walk in close fellowship with Him (Phil 4:6). People are watching and they notice the difference – you are not afraid…you carry what the emptiness in their heart is crying out for…. a relationship with God himself.

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place” (2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV).

Be bold, you are carrying his presence into your realm of influence, and people are watching you.
Time to rise and shine!
