Scripture for the Day (November 10, 2016)

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

There are many things that my wife Cheryl and I are very thankful for and proud of this morning after our national election.

Number one, we are thankful to God that we live in a country where every-day Americans still have a voice. We are thankful to God that He still has His hand on the United States of America. And we are thankful that we still have brave men and women that will subject themselves to the brutal process of running for the highest position in our government.

There are also many things that we are proud of this morning. We are proud of all the evangelical voters out there that stood up in the face of a media onslaught and voted their convictions. We are especially proud of our brave evangelical leaders that came out early and prayed for and supported Donald J. Trump and did not waiver when many of the elite political establishment did waiver.

And Jesus said unto him, “No man, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.” (Luke 9:62)

We are also thankful and proud of God’s prophets (Yes, God still has them!) who came out early (even years before the election) and boldly spoke a true word to us which helped us see through all the smoke screens and understand the heart and intentions of God. As believers, we could see what God was doing but you also can see how a non-believer could have been very easily led astray. Thank God for the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and His prophets!!

Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (Amos 3:7)

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

We are also thankful and proud of all the prayer warriors in this country and abroad that stormed Heaven on behalf of the United States. The following link is a short video clip of a multi-international prayer vigil (Jerusalem Global Gathering) held in Israel on November 7 that was praying for this country. The Americans were on stage kneeling as many nations prayed in the Spirit for our country. Click on the link below to see what praying in the Spirit is all about:

The time to pray is not over! The real work has just begun. Pray for the safety and security of Donald J. Trump, his family, and this country. Pray for the wisdom to select the right people for the cabinet and the Supreme Court. Pray for our Senate and Congress that they would work with our new President to turn this country around and make it great again. This is a historical moment. The world knows it and our enemies know it. So pray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
