If you don’t know it is written, you can’t say it is written. (Chris Musgrove)
Isaiah 55:11 says, “So is my Word that goes out of my mouth: it will not return unto me empty (or void), but will accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Acts 6:7 says, “Then the Word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.”
Acts 12:24 says, “But the Word of God grew and multiplied.”
Acts 19:20 says, “So the Word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.”
The Word of God believed on and spoken will always prevail, always prosper, always bring life, and always produce divine results.
Luke 10:38-42 says, “Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ‘Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.’ And Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.'” Mary sat at the feet of Jesus and heard the Word and Jesus said she had chosen the good part that wouldn’t be taken away from her.
Take the time, like Mary, and get a word from God! Remember, Jesus didn’t prevail against the Devil in Luke chapter 4. The Word of God prevailed against the Devil. Jesus kept quoting the Word of God when He said “It is written”. If you don’t know it is written, you can’t say it is written. So give attention to God’s Word and hide it in your heart, so you will have a prevailing word! (Proverbs 4:20 and Psalm 119:11)
