Scripture for the Day (December 5, 2016)
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39)
As a Christian, you and I need to never forget that we are winners. As one minister said, I have read the back of the book and “We Win!” At the same time we need to realize that our enemy is constantly trying to convince us that we are losers. He is constantly trying to sow seeds of fear, doubt, and unbelief into our thought life with the attempt of paralyzing us from forward action.
We are living in a world where “you can’t do” is more prevalent than “you can do.” Common sense has left the building and political correctness and the spirit of fear have entered. As Christians, we need to be reminded of what the Word of God says about us. We need to learn how to win again and quit listening to all the naysayers.
We are actually living in a world and in a time where the natural is more and more reflecting the spiritual. It is yelling to us prophetically. All you have to do is pay attention to the current news and you can see exactly what I’m talking about.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. (1 Corinthians 15:46)
We are living on the brink of a major change and it is imperative that you know who you are “In Christ.” This is not a time for shrinking violets. It is a time for boldness and faith. It is a time to win! Listen, and be reminded of what the Word of God says about you.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4)
The wicked flee when no man pursueth, but the righteous are bold as a lion. (Proverbs 28:1)
And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. (Acts 4:18-20)
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. (1 Peter 2:9-10)
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father, to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:6)
