Scripture for the Day (April 22, 2016)
And He said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)
My wife Cheryl and I are on the road again this weekend ministering at Evolv Health’s Impact Function in Dallas, TX. We serve as Chaplains for this great company and beautiful group of folks.
Most of you that read our daily devotionals are familiar with what we do but some of you are not so this devotional will summarize what we have done for many years and how we are supported. We have been in the ministry for 34 years. During that time we have ministered in several hundred prisons, churches and foreign countries. We have seen tens of thousands of people come to the Lord during that period. For the last 27 years we have concentrated on going into the “world” (Mark 16:15). We have done that by serving as Chaplains for several major corporations.This weekend is a prime example of what we do. We will setup a Christian book table at the Evolv conference and be there to minister to anyone that request it. We will also coordinate a Sunday church service which is open to any of the Evolv people that want to come. These services are not mandatory but we have great attendance and we have seen thousands of people come to the Lord at these services.
We provide a free Bible and several brochures and CDs to each new believer to help them get started. We also follow-up with new believers to see that they get plugged into a good local church. Some of the other things that we do is provide a free daily devotional to anyone that subscribes. We also help several other major ministries follow-up on new believers to make sure they get plugged into a good local church. For example, Joyce Meyer refers six to seven thousand new believers to us per year. In other words, we stay really busy.

We do not have any fundraisers or telecons. We depend solely on God to provide for this ministry through the people that we minister to. If we have been a blessing to you in any way we ask you to pray and consider sowing a financial seed of faith into this ministry. We can promise you this. No seed is wasted in this ministry. Every cent is plowed back into ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ and reaching the lost. That is what we do. The second thing we asked you to do is to pray for this weekend. There will be people in this meeting that need Jesus. You can be a part of that! Also, pray for Evolv to be blessed beyond measure. Thank God for a company that is still willing to allow the Gospel to be heard.
