Scripture for the Day (January 27, 2017)

But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound, (Romans 5:20)

I was recently talking with a minister friend (Guy Iannello of Total Freedom) who I love and trust. He shared with me a word that he received from the Lord for 2017. That word is “explosure”. I know, it’s not a word you will find in Webster’s Dictionary, but you can find it in the Urban Dictionary. The definition in the Urban Dictionary is as follows: (Exposure with the magnitude of an explosion; typically in relation to special or PR coverage)

Since talking with Guy I have thought about that word “explosure” a lot and I think it perfectly reflects what we see happening in the world around us. It is important for you to know that what we are witnessing is spiritually motivated. The extreme hate and anger that some people are exhibiting is exposing the darkness more and more. On the other side of the coin, the light is beginning to shine more and more.

Jesus talked a lot in the New Testament about what would happen in the end times. In one instance Jesus talked about the tares and the wheat:

Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 13:36-43)

In another passage Jesus talked about the sheep and the goats:

When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: (Matthew 25:31-34)

There are wheat and tares in our society. There are also sheep and goats, regardless of how politically incorrect that is. The explosive exposure of each of these is beginning. The darkness is getting darker and the light is getting brighter. You have to make a decision on what side you will line up on. It’s just like God said:

But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deuteronomy 30:15-19)

Just remember, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. (Jude 1:14-23)
