A Nugget from New Life Network
Scripture for the Day (January 10, 2018)
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15)
We were part of a Sunday service last weekend that I just want to praise God for. This was part of a secular business meeting held in Orlando, FL where the leadership had provided a room in the hotel conference center for a voluntary Sunday church service after their business meetings on Friday and Saturday.
We were part of the team that organized and participated in the service. Several of the leaders shared parts of their testimony. A praise and worship group out of Lakeland, FL, headed by Keli Horn, did a fabulous job leading us into the presence of God. We did a teaching on giving and forgiveness and handled the love offering portion of the service. Our friend Pastor Buddy Meloy, from New Life Christian Fellowship Church in Lake City, FL, brought the main message from the Word and did the altar call.
We had originally set up 220 chairs for this meeting. We had so many people attend that we had to pull in additional chairs and then we still had people standing around the walls, sitting on the floor, and sitting all around the band. It was powerful!! At the end of the praise and worship session I read the following scripture to this group of people that were packed into this room:
And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house. And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them. (Mark 2:1-2)
The anointing of God was so strong in that room that I could not even read that scripture without crying. Thank you Holy Ghost for the anointing for it is truly your anointing that breaks and destroys yokes and breaks down all the barriers.
At the end of the preaching, when Pastor Buddy asked how many people wanted to receive Jesus into their hearts, over 100 people raised their hands and prayed with him. We prayed with people at the altar for a very long time after that and distributed Bibles from New Life Network to each new believer.
We have done this type of ministry for 28 years and we have seen tens of thousands of people saved and I guess we should not be surprised but I always am. I am surprised at the power and love of God that comes when a group of God lovers commit to sponsoring and organizing an event like this. I am surprised at the amount of hunger and thirst for God that is out there in the business arena. There were lives and families in that room that will never be the same!!!
Thank you Father! Thank you Jesus! Thank you Holy Ghost! This was a true team effort on the part of all the ministers and that is the way it should be. No one person received the glory for this. God gets all the glory!!!
