A Nugget from New Life Network

Scripture for the Day (July 6, 2018)

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

When you feel depressed and discouraged and the pressures make you feel like giving up, take the following medicine daily and you will recover.

1) Return to God’s camp. (I didn’t say religion.) Get into the Word. Get into fellowship. Get into worship (corporate and private). Get into sowing. Hang around with Godly people. This problem will require time to heal, so you must not find a “fast-food” church. You must find one that will give you a five-course meal.

2) You must recognize where the attack is coming from. Your enemy is not your relative or friend. It’s not your neighbor, boss, or co-workers. It’s the devil.

3) Speak the promise instead of the problem. Find out what God’s Word says about your situation. Cause the words to come out of your mouth to agree with God’s promise. When you agree with God and speak His Word, fear will flee and faith will flare up.

4) Act on what you speak. If you confess with your mouth and do not believe in your heart, it will profit you nothing immediately. But you must continue to confess anyway. Meditate on His Word and act on it.

5) Take authority. Not only must you speak to the situation, but also you must speak to things in your own life. Command unforgiveness to go. Command hatred to go. Remember, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37), so get up, take command, and move in authority and obedience.

6) Thank God in advance. You must thank God for having received your solution before you see it. According to the Word, faith believes without seeing. By believing without seeing, we see the manifestation (Hebrews 11:1).

7) Decide to move forward and to not look back. As you break free from the bondage of depression, make a conscious decision to stay free. Keep your godly associations. Stay in the Word. Keep your confessions right and be determined that nothing whatsoever will distract you from pressing toward your goal of freedom.

8) Choose to soar above the darkness. Thunderstorms, wind, and darkness are below the clouds. Choose to soar above the problems of life and not allow yourself to descend into the darkness and be destroyed by the storm.

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:31-32).
