Scripture for the Day (July 4, 2016)
I John 4:4 says, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
Who is the He that is in us, and who is he that is in the world that this verse is talking about? The Holy Spirit of God, that Jesus promised the Father God would send us, is the He that is in us Christians. The other he is Satan who is the god of this world.
John 14:16-17 says, “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”
II Corinthians 4:4 says, “In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
As children of God we have the Holy Spirit of God (the Greater One) living on the inside of us. So no matter what the world may try to bring, sickness, failure, fear, temptations, etc., we just look to the greater one on the inside that will abide with us forever.
The Spirit of Truth will always lead you with the Word of God, which is the truth and that Word will bring faith that will quicken and bring life to you. Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to(quicken) your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in
you.”
So no matter what the world brings your way, listen to the greater one that’s on the inside of you and be led by Him and not by the voice of the world.
Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
We don’t go by the way we feel, but by the Word that is real.
