Living To Please God

September 1, 2025

Scripture Of The Day

...We are grateful to God for your lives, and we always pray for you.  For we remember before our God and Father how you put your faith into practice, how your love motivates you to serve others, and how unrelenting is your hope-filled patience in our Lord Jesus Christ 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

Paul congratulates the Thessalonians on their fidelity to the Gospel that he had proclaimed while among them and urges them to remain steadfast in the faith.  He warns them against sensuality and various forms of self-seeking, which are contrary to the Spirit of the Christian way of life.

As you and I move forward in our own lives, it is important that we remain steadfast in our faith and continue in the way of the Lord.  In the world we live in today, there will be many things that will pull on us that are contrary to God's Word and His way of doing things.

I encourage you today to live to please God.  Make decisions that bring forth life.  Continue in the things you know that are right according to God's Word.  I pray that you and I are examples for other believers.  That by our lives, others will become believers and be strengthened in their faith.
