But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. ( James 1:6-8)

The above scripture has always been one of those "anchors" that we have lived by. We learned early on that doubt will make you crazy! We either believe God or we don't.
I was reminded of the story of the stock market crash in 1929. They say that it might have been avoided but for the "panic" that swept over the country and the world. What should have been no more than a deep recession altered our world forever because of the prevailing "thoughts of doubt and fear."
Do you remember FDR's famous speech where he said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself?" If the thoughts of many can bring such great tragedy to our world, it is no wonder that our personal thoughts can do so much damage to our "individual world."
Three things that can help us conquer doubt.
First, change your mind about doubt. If you have doubt about anything, change your mind about it and find a scripture that speaks truth to your situation.
Second, "Do the thing you fear and fear will disappear." This is wisdom, and it always works.
The third thing is Faith. Faith and Fear cannot co-exist. Put your Faith in your creator and His Word. Hope in Jesus never disappoints!
