Do You Have Resolve?

Scripture Of The Day
“Is there anyone here who, planning to build a new house, doesn’t first sit down and figure the cost so you’ll know if you can complete it? If you only get the foundation laid and then run out of money, you’re going to look pretty foolish. Everyone passing by will poke fun at you: ‘He started something he couldn’t finish.” Luke 14:28-30 The Message
The word resolve means to settle or find a solution to (a problem, dispute, or contentious matter). It means to decide firmly on a course of action, to be strongly determined. It means to decide or determine an issue with confidence and clarity, and to be free from doubt, uncertainty, and conflicting desires.
In the Bible, to "resolve" means to have a firm, steadfast determination to live by God's will and principles, despite challenges and opposition. It involves a deep inner conviction and commitment to act with faithfulness, courage, and perseverance, as exemplified by individuals like Daniel, who resolved not to defile himself with the king's food, and Joshua, who declared, "But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD".
In the book “Dream Thieves” by Rick Renner, he speaks about resolve. He states, “The reason many people fail is not for lack of vision, but lack of resolve—and resolve is born out of counting the cost.”
We have to count the cost as Jesus commanded. Your dream, your vision, your ministry stands in danger of perishing if you don’t gain the knowledge you need to fulfill it.
I encourage you today to pray and seek God for His call on your life. Set your heart on the assignment God has given you—without budging, hesitating, flinching, or doubting. You must follow through by obeying what God has told you, no matter what. Be resolved!
