More Than A Conqueror

Scripture Of The Day

Yet amid all these things, we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him who loved us.  Romans 8:37

By Cheryl Henderson

The above scripture is one of my favorites. The entire 8th chapter of Romans is one of my favorites. Romans chapter 8 reminds me of who I am in Christ.

When the enemy tries to put guilt, shame, and condemnation on me, I remember Romans 8:1, "Therefore there is now no condemnation-no adjudging guilty of wrong-for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit." AMP

The enemy is always trying to remind us of our failures and the times we have messed up. He knows if he can get you and I down in the dumps and thinking the wrong way, we will not be productive for the Kingdom. That is why God's Word is so important to get down into our hearts. I try to memorize scripture so that I can speak it to myself and to speak it to the enemy. That is how Jesus conquered the enemy in the desert. He spoke the Word to him at every temptation. Jesus said, " it is written, it is written."

The Bible is the answer to everything! Allow God's Word to get into your heart. Read it, study it, memorize it, and speak it out loud. It will change the very atmosphere.

You are more than a conqueror. You will conquer those things that are trying to conquer you!

Remember, God watches over His word to perform it!
