But my righteous will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back. Hebrews 10:38

We all know that we are called to live by faith. We all know that without faith we cannot please God. When I read Hebrews, I realized that this faith walk is not always an easy one. We live in a pretty crazy world. However, we have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. In other words, we are equipped for the journey.

At this stage of my life, I have walked through many things. I have been disappointed, rejected, suffered loss, I have been through sickness, death, abuse, and on and on. But God has kept me, and I still have the joy of the Lord, which is my strength. Could I have given up? Yes, I could have. But if I don’t stay with God and His Word, where would I go? This crazy world has nothing to offer me.

“But my righteous will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” I cannot give up on my God, on what I know the Word says, and on the promises of God. This world has never kept a promise to me!

I encourage you today, no shrinking back! Rely on God and His Word. Keep your relationship with the Lord. Keep praying, trusting, and walking by faith. God cannot lie; He will come through for you.
