You choose life or death by the words you speak, and what you believe (what’s in your heart) will eventually come out of your mouth.
Matthew 12:34 says, “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
Our words are so important. They can bless or curse. They can give permission. They can deny access. They can build up or they can tear down. As believers, we should always be speaking life. We should edify, comfort, and build others up. How do we discipline ourselves to speak life? John 6:63 Jesus said, “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 15:7 says, “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.”
We must stay in God's Word and speak His word over our lives and the lives of others. I encourage you to stop the toxic words in your home. Speak life to your family. Speak life to yourself! You are a son or daughter of the Most High, and He loves you.
Watch the atmosphere change when you start speaking life. Remember, God watches over His Word to perform it!
