Thankful For This Country

July 4, 2025

Scripture Of The Day

I will give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever. (Psalm 86:12)

By Cheryl Henderson

As I sit here this July 4th, I am so Proud, Thankful, and Grateful for this country. I am thankful for all who have served in our armed forces to protect our freedoms and our land. All those who are Firemen, Policemen, First Responders, and those who help their fellow man, just because.  I believe that God ordained this country and I know that I know it was founded on God’s Word.  I realize that things in our world today are crazy and the America I have grown up in seems to be fading. However, I am not giving up to pray for this nation and its leaders. I will not stop doing the things I have always done to bless others and help my country grow and to stand up for  and protect the freedoms many have given their lives for.   I am just Thankful beyond words. To me this is still the greatest country on the planet. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord..” (Psalm 33:12)

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is; there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17)  Let’s not take this country for granted nor take our freedoms for granted. Let’s be the Ambassadors we all called to be. Let us pray, seek God’s heart, walk in love, and believe that God will do what He said He will do.  I want to see revival, a great ingathering, but most of all I want to see Jesus! He is coming back and I don’t think it is far off! But until He comes I will not just occupy, but I will use the authority He has given me to share the Good News every chance I get.

God Bless America!
