Before The Victory

Scripture Of The Day

"Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place." — 2 Corinthians 2:14 (NKJV)

By Cheryl Henderson

Life doesn't always feel victorious. There are seasons when the battle seems long, the answers are delayed, and our circumstances appear to tell a different story. Yet God's Word declares a greater truth: He always leads us in triumph in Christ.

Notice that Paul doesn't say we create the victory ourselves. God is the One who leads us. Our responsibility is to stay close to Him, trust His direction, and keep walking by faith even when we cannot yet see the outcome. Victory isn't determined by what we feel today but by who is leading us.

As we follow Christ, our lives become a fragrance that points others to Him. People notice the peace that surpasses understanding, the joy that remains in hardship, and the hope that refuses to quit. Our confidence in God's faithfulness becomes a testimony that draws others to Jesus.

Whatever battle you are facing today, remember that you are not fighting for victory—you are walking with the One who has already secured it. Keep following His lead. He has never lost a battle, and He will faithfully lead you into His triumph.
