To conform means to follow the standards, attitudes, and practices of society. The danger is that we can become so accustomed to the world’s ways that we accept them without considering whether they line up with God’s Word.

Romans 12:2 in the New Living Translation tells us to let God transform us by changing the way we think. If you want to change your behavior, you must first change your thinking.

Philippians 4:8 tells us to think on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. We renew our minds by filling them with God’s Word instead of allowing the world to shape our thinking.

As our minds are renewed, God transforms us from the inside out, changing how we think and how we live.

Today’s Challenge: Ask yourself, What is shaping my thinking—the culture around me or the Word of God? Don’t simply fit into the world’s mold. Renew your mind with God’s Word and allow Him to transform your life!
