“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” – Psalm 37:25
I know that many of you that are reading this message, including myself, have recently witnessed their stock portfolio and IRAs take a tremendous hit. Does that shake you? Does that depress you? Or does it stir you up to be looking for the blessing that God has for you that may already be right in front of your face?
Cheryl & I are “faith” people. We get excited in these times! If your faith is in the stock market then you are going to have a rocky road. But if your faith is in a miracle working God that does not participate in recessions or depressions then the road will be one of excitement and anticipation.
For some people “faith” is a noun (such as the name of a particular denomination or church). That type of faith by itself does not work. For faith to work it has to become a verb. Faith without works is dead (James 2:17). For faith to become a transforming, miracle working, circumstance changing part of your life, you have to believe the promises of God, confess them out of your mouth (faith comes by hearing), and act on them. As Cheryl would say, you have to perform the doing of it (II Corinthians 8:11).
Psalms 37 says that I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor their seed begging bread. Do you believe that scripture, even in the midst of our current economic crisis? God is not a liar! His word is settled in Heaven forever! But for this word to work for you personally you will need to first believe it, confess it, and then act on it. Start looking for the blessing! Start expecting the blessing! Keep your eyes open for God’s opportunities, ideas, and concepts that are coming your way! Walk in what you know! Don’t procrastinate! If you do the natural, God will add his supernatural to it!
It is time to perform the doing of it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
