Scripture for the Day

So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God. (II Chronicles 5:14)

How many of you can say you have truly been in the presence of God? Christians use different terms sometimes to describe this type of experience like the anointing, the Glory of God, the Holy Ghost, the cloud, etc., but they are all describing the same thing, the powerful presence of God. Just guessing, I would say probably less that 10% of you have really been in a service where the anointing and presence of God was so strong that you will never forget it. I say that because of our experience with thousands of churches over the last 33 years of ministry. The majority of churches in this country do not even believe in this type of experience, which results in no visitations at all.

I am so thankful for the times my wife and I have experienced His presence and witnessed the supernatural presence of God. It has changed our lives and solidified our faith. We don’t seek, run after, or worship signs and wonders but we also don’t deny their existence because we have seen them first hand, know they are real, and know they lineup with the Word of God.

Thank you God for saving us when we did not deserve it; for guiding and directing us to two phenomenal churches that helped disciple us; for letting us experience the Baptism of the Holy Ghost; see healings and deliverances; be in a revival where 1500 people were baptized in water in one night; see thousands come to the Lord through marketplace ministry; see hundreds of men and women in prison come to know you; receive prophetic messages from unique sources that changed our lives; be financially provided for miraculously for over 30 years of ministry; have precious grand daughters that were born to our daughter-in-law that was told by doctors she could never have children; and on and on and on we could go. Thank you Jesus that you are the same yesterday, today and forever!!!!

We have witnessed so much from God that we just wish we could somehow adequately explain to you what some of you are missing. We have been in services where the presence of God was so strong that you could not stay in the building without getting saved. You either had to get saved or leave. We have been in meetings where the anointing was so strong that you had to get on your face, on the floor. We have been in meetings where the anointing was so strong on the preacher that you could not get within 10-20 yards of him without hitting the floor. Have you ever experienced those type of things? If not, tell God! Tell Him you are tired of dead religion and playing church and you want to experience His presence. If you don’t see this happening in your church, start looking for a place you can experience His presence. That may be another church, or a prayer group, or a mission trip, or a worship
conference, or something entirely different. God will show you if you just hunger and thirst for His presence.

Life is too short to not experience His presence. It’s not like these things should happen every church service but they will never happen if your church does not open their doors to the Holy Ghost and invite the presence of God into their meetings.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalm 16:11)

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. (Revelation 1:17-18)

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; (Psalm 114:7)
