Scripture of The Day
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.” Ephesians 3:20
I love today’s scripture of the day. I can’t tell you how that Word has kept me. Through all the twists and turns of this life knowing that I serve a God who is Able!! He is not weak, He does not run from the hard stuff, He does not lie, He has my back and He never leaves me! Oh, what a mighty God we serve!
I love that I can go to Him and question things, ask things, get wisdom on things. You see, the Word says, “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” He knows what it is like! Moreover, He is Able to keep us from falling away.
Jesus is Able to be touched by our feelings. He knows what it is like to be tested with sin, and he is sympathetic to the struggles. I love the image that the scripture uses here: unlike the Old Testament priesthood, Jesus can be touched with our infirmity. The word infirmity means a sickness or an ailment
Go to Him today and lay it all down. He will walk you through the storm. I pray today that you see the God you serve as Mighty and Able to do more than you can ask or
think.
