Scripture for the Day – December 3, 2019
Psalm 119:10 says, “With my whole heart I have sought You;”
God looks on the heart and He can see if you are praising and seeking with Him your whole heart. He knows if your worship or praise is done whole-heartedly or half-heartedly. The definition of the word whole is containing all components; complete; not divided or disjoined; in one unit. The definition of the word part is a portion, division, piece, or segment of a whole.
Don’t have a compartmentalized heart, a heart with compartments where you give different parts of your heart to drugs, alcohol, pornography, your job, hobbies, sports, television, or even another person.
I Samuel 16:7 says, ”God looks on the heart.”
Psalm 138:1: I will praise You with my whole heart.
Luke 10:27 says, “So he answered and said, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.'”
Romans 13:14 says, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
Jeremiah 24:7 says, “For they shall return to Me with their whole heart.”
Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Romans 1:9 says, “For God is my witness, Whom I serve with my [whole] heart [rendering priestly and spiritual service] in [preaching] the Gospel and [telling] the good news of His Son, how incessantly I always mention you when at my prayers.”
Are you holding any part of your heart back from God???
