Scripture of The Day
September 20, 2021
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:5)

I can’t begin to tell you how many prayer request I have gotten over the last several weeks. Most of them have been for healing. With covid, cancer, and all other manner of diseases, people are in need of great hope.
I do not pretend to have all the answers about sickness and disease. However , I do know that it is NOT from God. Sickness came in the doorway of sin with the rest of the curse. Jesus came to this earth and went around preaching, proclaiming the good news, and he healed every kind of disease. (Matthew 4:23) His blood brought our healing back to us.
We, as the people of God have a responsibility to take care of the temple. (our bodies) If we smoke, drink, over eat, and just don’t take care of ourselves then we open the door to sickness. That is not God’s will for us. III John 2 says, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Hebrews tells us that Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What He did on this earth is what we are supposed to do. No matter what, I know that I am to pray for healing for everyone God send across my path.
Ed and I have prayed for many people over the years who were sick. Some got healed and some did not and some died. I had many people praying for Ed when he was so sick. I prayed for him to be healed but that did not happed. My Pastor’s wife spoke something to me that helped to bring me peace. In Hebrews 9:27 the Word says that it is appointed unto men once to die.. My Pastor’s wife said, “Cheryl, Ed had an appointment with God.” I know Ed is healed now and he is with the Father. Heaven is so amazing he would not come back if he could. I will see him again. He is not in my past, but in my future!!
I will not be discouraged nor will I quit praying for healing. We pray all the time for people to get saved but not all get saved. We haven’t quit praying for salvation and I will not stop praying for folks to be healed.
For everyone who is sick or everyone who is praying for someone who is sick, I join my faith with yours and proclaim God’s Word over your life and those you are praying for. Look up the following scriptures and pray them over yourself and over the others you are praying for. He sent HIs Word and healed them. Psalm 107:20

Isaiah 53:5
Jeremiah 30:17a
