Scripture for the Day
September 17, 2020
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (Ephesians 6:13-14)
I promised you guys an update on my health situation and I have not given you one in months. I apologize for that, but I do not like talking about myself. I would rather talk about Jesus and the Word.
Well, after 13-14 rounds of chemo, and numerous scans and minor operations, they finally told us this week that they had done all they could do. They left us with the option of going to Emory to see if they had any trial programs we would qualify for, or start taking the chemo pill. So, we are at a decision time again and maybe this is just where the Lord want’s us. Clinical trials do not impress me because you do not know what the results will be, or the side effects, and neither do the doctors.
Our other alternative is to go the holistic route. Mama Kate Iannello is coming to stay with us several days next week and she is very big on holistic medicines. My son and his brother-in-law are also very invested in CBD oils. The brother-in-law owns a big farm outside of Charlotte and they grow their own products. He has invested millions over the last few years developing this business and has his own laboratory and chemist. So, they are preparing some products for us to sample.
It looks like we may be going the holistic route. I am not afraid of that because God told me years ago, when I was in Texas praying for a cancer patient, that the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22:2). So, it is no surprise to me that healing properties are being found in leaves. We have often thought that the witch doctors of South America were crazy, but maybe they are not so crazy after all. Maybe they know things our doctors do not know.
We are still standing on the Word: (Psalm 103:2-3) He is the God that healeth thee. Pray for us. Sometimes we have to do everything we know how to do to get to that healing and then we have to stand.
