Scripture for the Day
February 2,2021
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. The NIV says, Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16).

As we all go through our busy schedules we must be sure to make the most of every opportunity. At business meetings, parties, family get-togethers, your children’s sporting events, and even church events. Let’s allow God’s Spirit to flow through us to others. By keeping your spiritual antennas up, God can use you when you least expect it. This is accomplished by grazing on
God’s word and staying in an attitude of prayer and thankfulness on a daily basis. Always asking the Holy Spirit what the Word of God says about every situation and circumstance you come up against? Realizing that you may be the only person that is bringing the life of God into someone’s path, you need to stay on your spiritual toes, so to speak. In every situation, listen out for the Holy Spirit and don’t grieve Him.
I like what Ephesians 4:29-30 says: “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.” Look for opportunities to speak the Word of God and bring life to that co-worker, employee, or family member, especially if the Holy Spirit is prompting you. Romans 8:5-6 says, For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. You have a door of opportunity to bring life to someone somewhere, so commit to being spiritually minded (a mind renewed by the word of God) which brings that life and peace.
In Esther 4:14 Mordecai sends word to Esther that she has an opportunity here that she can’t pass up. Verse 14 says, For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this? I’ve heard it said, “That one word from God can change someone’s life forever.” Let that one word come from you. I John 2:20 in the Amplified Bible says, But you have been anointed by [you hold a sacred appointment from, you have been given an unction from] the Holy One, and you all know [the Truth] or you know all things. If you are a born-again Christian you have the anointing and the opportunity so don’t be afraid to be a light for Jesus.
