Scripture of The Day 4/14/2022
And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them: (Deuteronomy 28:13. KJV)
Have you ever felt like you needed some assistance meeting the right people? Have you ever wished you could be the head and not the tail? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to meet and fellowship with kings and queens, heads of governments, and CEOs of businesses?
It is amazing to me what God can do with a heathen from South Georgia that spent most of his time getting drunk, hunting, fishing, and cussing, who was just willing to follow Him. He truly does use the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. His power is perfected in our weakness. His grace is sufficient for you and me. There is no one on this planet that was more afraid of giving speeches or talking to people than I was and yet I have preached to thousands of people over the last 27 years. That’s not me!! That’s God!!! God will put people in your path that you never imagined. He arranges divine appointments such as Jesus with the woman at the well; Ananias with Paul at Damascus; Peter & John with the lame man at the Gate called Beautiful; or you and I with the right people for our business or ministry. Our responsibility is to be ready, be alert, and go. Just remember, two-thirds of God’s name is “GO”.
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things that God hath prepared for them that love him. (I Corinthians 2:9)
Lord, we pray for divine appointments for everyone reading this devotional. We know that your will is for all of us to prosper and be in health. Help us Lord to be attentive to your voice and the leading of your Spirit and thank you for your gift of grace that makes our weaknesses strong and gives us the boldness to go.
