Scripture of The Day 8/23/2022
All your children will be taught by the Lord, and they will have much peace.
(Isaiah 54:13 NCV)

The above scripture used to really bother me because my oldest son was not raised from birth to serve the Lord.  Ed and I did not get saved until he was 12.  I get calls every day from parents who are concerned about their children.  It is stated that eighty-five percent of all children raised by praying parents develop a strong personal faith-before age 13.  Well, what if mine are way past that age or even grown?  God’s name is “Redeemer”  He can give you another chance.  Ed and I gave our hearts to Jesus and began sowing into our children God’s Word and we began worshiping together in a local church.  That gave us a second chance to teach our children how good God is and how powerful His Word is.

Some have said that they are concerned about bringing another child into this evil world.   It is children of light who push back the darkness.  the following promise is what gave me great peace and confidence that God’s got our kids, “My Spirit and my words that I give you will never leave you or your children or your grandchildren, now and forever!” (Isaiah 59:21)  Praise His Name!

Success isn’t based on how well you run the race, but how well you pass the baton.   Don’t drop the baton!  Make it your goal to raise children who’ll pick up your legacy of faith and take it further than you did.  When you commit to doing that, God will work with you.
