Scripture of The Day 3/1/2022
My home church has recently purchased a fabulous new building. We are in the process of renovation. The church currently has pews and our Pastor had someone come in to give an estimate on the costs of theater seating. The estimate was broken down in such a way that you would know the cost of each seat. As my Pastor pondered the quote, he asked the congregation a question, ” How much do you think a seat is worth?” A man a couple of rows back yelled out, “priceless!”
I don’t know if you attend church or not, but have you ever thought of how much your seat is worth in your church? I would venture to say what the gentlemen behind me said, “Priceless!”
First of all, there is Power in a seat in the Lord’s house. There in that seat God can transform you. The scripture says that we are seated with Christ in Heavenly places. In that seat you can rest. In that seat there is healing. In that seat is mercy and that mercy never runs out! In that seat the life giving Word of God can be heard. I agree, that in God’s house your seat is priceless. If you have not been to church in a while, I encourage you to go. Sit in your seat and let God do a work in your heart.
If you do not know where to go, email me and I will send you a list of churches in your area. There is a corporate anointing when the body of Christ comes together to worship. Hebrews 10:25 says, “This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge
each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.” (The Passion)
Come on brothers and sisters, take your seat!
