Scripture of The Day
“Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs. (Isaiah 54:2 )
Daily stretching can be a profound spiritual practice that teaches us to let go, to loosen up (physically and figuratively!) and humbly soften to our experiences without force and without expectation.
We must relinquish our fears and focus on what we can be if we allow God to stretch us. Stretching means trusting God in moments of surrender. Stretching means walking into our fears and coming out as people of faith. Stretching means believing in God when we don’t see him working
Has God ever asked you to do something you knew how to do? Not me! He is always stretching me! He is always causing me to get out in deep water and trust Him! Even today, I am walking in territory I have never been in before.
There is a quote by John Maxwell, a Pastor, Author, and Teacher, and he says, ” Everything you want that you do not have and everything that you need that you do not have is outside your comfort zone.” Christians, it is not time to be comfortable, it is time to stretch! Get ready for God to call you in the deep! And if He has called you into the deep….GO!
