Scripture of The Day
Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering (for He is faithful who promised,) Hebrews 10:23
A Pastor friend of mine made this statement, ” “Never lower your expectations from God to the level of your experiences, but always raise them to His promises.” Let’s look at some of His promises.
Provision – But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19). Do you have a need today? If so, who or what are you trusting in to meet that need?
Peace – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27) Do you need peace today? If so, who or what are you trusting in to provide that peace?
Household Salvation – They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.” (Acts 16:31) Do you have any prodigals out there from your own household? If so, who or what are you trusting in to save those prodigals?
Direction – Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalm 119:105) Do you need direction today? If so, who or what are you relying on to give you that direction?
I could go on forever but do you get my point? His provisions are unlimited. He can bring peace in the midst of a storm. He has contacts that we do not have that can minister to our children. He can show us the way because He is the Way. His supply is unlimited. Our expectation is what’s limited. We need to have GREAT expectations!!! Just remember the following quote from Pastor Adams, “Never lower your expectations from God to the level of your experiences, but always raise them to His promises”.
