Scripture of The Day

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13)

Pastor Robert Morris of Gateway Church in Southlake, TX is one of my favorite teachers and preachers. On April 8, 2018 Pastor Morris was life-flighted via helicopter to Baylor University Hospital with internal bleeding from two arterial tears. He had lost 50% of his blood and was very near death.

During the challenging two months that followed there were over 340,000 people praying for him around the world, including this ministry. People in India, Guatemala, and China, just to name a few, were holding extended prayer vigils for this man of God.

On June 2, 2018 Pastor Morris stepped back onto the platform at Gateway Church to minister to the Gateway congregation. His testimony about this whole matter is a must listen for all of us. Even through very trying times Pastor Robert has not lost his sense of humor.

We are going to let the testimony of Pastor Morris be our devotional today. I think you will be blessed by it as we were. This was a true Psalm 23 moment. Just post the following link to your browser and be blessed:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

(Psalm 23)
