Scripture of The Day 3/4/2022
I read an article recently that talked about fighting the good fight of faith. The article stated that the only fight Christians should be in, is the fight of faith. I like that! I hear of folks saying, ” I am fighting the devil today.” I’m fighting sin, or addiction, or depression.
I do not take any of these things lightly. They are real problems. For me personally, it has been grief. So what do we do? The Word says that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word. I have found that the only way for me to get free is to read and know God’s Word for my situation. To know His Word is to know His character. I believe according to Hebrews 4:15 that our God knows our feelings and our infirmities. He was a man on this earth and He knows what it is like here.
Jesus went to the cross to pay for sin, we don’t have to fight that fight. He also defeated the devil so we don’t have to fight that fight. When you and I decide to believe God’s Word and we act on it, that’s faith. When we actually do God’s Word and shine the light of God’s Word, faith is there!
When the crises of life comes I encourage you to act like the Bible is true. Pray God’s Word, call on the promises of God, trust His Word, and believe that He loves you. If you act like you must fight the battle, God can’t.
I have laid my grief at the foot of the cross. I claim the Joy of the Lord, I proclaim that I am not alone, and I trust my Father to take care of me. I will act like the Bible is true and watch God fight my battles.
