Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you– 2 Thessalonians 3:16
As we are all scurrying around getting ready for Christmas, there is one gift that we all need. That is the gift of peace. Jesus is the Lord of peace. It is not just a gift from Him, but it is Him. Peace is a part of who He is. I have found that I can’t just grab His peace on the run. I actually have to set aside time for focusing of Him and enjoying His presence.
We live in the midst of intense spiritual warfare. My peace is an essential part of my armor. However, to stay on my feet in the middle of the battle, I must have on sturdy combat boots-the Gospel of Peace. I find that in that sweet peace of God, I am assured that He loves me and is with me. Many people will forfeit peace because they think that God is scrutinizing them through critical eyes. On the contrary, He sees you through eyes of perfect love. Let the following scriptures help you to rejoice in God’s sweet peace.
