Scripture of The Day
“You shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day” (Deuteronomy 8:18).
I pray that everyone had a beautiful Christmas. As we begin to look towards 2023 I want to encourage you to start out this new year speaking prosperity. Did you know that is the will of God for you? 3rd John says that the Lord wishes above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.
When you don’t know who you are or what you have, you can be easily manipulated and deceived. As a Christian, you must know that you have been saved. You must know that you have been healed, and you must know that you have been given a rich supply.
It’s a good feeling to have extra money at the end of the month, but a lot of Christians have extra month at the end of the money. Poverty is not a sin, but it is a curse and a problem that many live with.
Jesus said in Mark 9:23, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” It is possible to break free of the poverty mind-set and walk in the prosperity that God has planned for His people. God’s plan for you is health, wisdom, and prosperity and with the complete absence of sickness or lack.
But how can we change our thinking? How can we break years of wrong thoughts and actions? Actually, the answer to that is quite simple. Jesus said in John 8:31-32 that if we would continue in His Word daily, then we would understand the truth and the result of hearing, understanding, and acting upon His truth would be freedom.
Prosperity is freedom. Poverty is bondage. The choice is ours. Jesus said that our words would be the determining factor in whether we are justified or condemned (Matthew 12:37). Also, we are told in Proverbs 18:21 that life and death are in the power of the tongue. What we say is extremely important. It can determine whether we live in prosperity or whether we live in poverty.
I pray that 2023 is the year you walk in freedom. Prosperity in every area of your life.
