Scripture of The Day
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth. (3rd John 4)
Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) That is truth! You can say what you want to, but Jesus is the only way to God. He is the one who died on a cross and rose to life again. The world we live in does not always tell us the truth. Sometimes, due to traditions, ignorance, and just plain lies, we can be deceived.
As we move into this New Year I want to walk in truth in every area of my life. I want to know when something is not the truth. The only way I know to do this is to read and speak and follow God’s Word. The Word is my foundation. It is my solid rock. It changes not. “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but My Words will never pass away.” (Matthew 24:35) I can always count on God’s Word to lead, guide, and protect me.
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and will be in you…” (John 14:16) What a promise!
