Scripture of The Day
Many a man claims to have unfailing love. but a faithful man who can find?  (Proverbs 20:6) NIV

I heard a story about a man named Thomas, who owned a drug store in his town.  It was a family business. One day things came to a fateful conclusion.  He realized that he was tired of losing friends to cancer and heart disease.  For ninety-six years, his family had sold tobacco products in the front of his store and health products in the back.  He just could not do both anymore.

Thomas, his employees, and family members loaded up two thousands dollars worth of cigarettes, cigars, snuff, and pipe-tobacco products into boxes and took them to a parking lot to be burned.  To get the fire started, Thomas set a match to his state license to sell tobacco.  Then he used the burning document to set aflame the pile of boxes. As he watched the burning inventory go up in smoke, Thomas told his family and employees that he could not put dollars and cents above the health of his patrons.

You know, nearly everybody proclaims with their mouth the importance of doing the right thing-even if it costs them everything.  Thomas is one of those who put his money where his mouth was.  Are you ready to put your money where your mouth is?  Men are alike in their promises.  It is only in their deeds that they differ.
