Scripture of The Day
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust,”  (Psalm 91:1-2)

The word dwell is mentioned many times in the Bible.  The word dwell means ; to live as a resident, to remain for a time, and to live or continue in a given condition or state. Here are some words that relate to the word dwell; exist, inhabit, abide, reside, nest, and occupy.

My late husband used to preach a lot about abiding in the Word.  Abide means to live in, to reside, to inhabit.  When Jesus told His disciples in John 15:4-9 to abide in me. He meant for them to live in Him and allow Him to live in them.  He wanted His words to abide in them.  Well, Jesus still wants that for you and I today.

Most people realize that this crazy world is not going to bring you life and life more abundantly.  Only Jesus can do that.  As you decide to dwell in God’s Word,  and in His presence, not matter what happens He is with you, you have hope, and His promises, and He said He would never leave you or forsake you.

Where do you dwell?  Ps 27:4 says, “Here’s the one thing I crave from God, the one thing I seek above all else: I want the privilege of living with Him every moment in His house, finding the sweet loveliness of His face.”  I choose to dwell in His presence.  For in that place there is peace and joy and wisdom.  I encourage you to dwell in His presence.
