“…That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him…. ” (Ephesians 1:17
In the day in which we live I see so many in bondage. They are afraid, tormentated in their minds and lots of anxiety. I know this is not what God has for His people. Yes, there is always a war going on, but you have the victory! Ephesians says, “…That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him..” It is so important for you and I to have the wisdom and revelation of who He is, His nature, and what He did for us! As if that were not enough, He is your healing, your strength, your deliverer, and so much more. So why then do we struggle with fear, anxiety, and torment?
There are lots of reasons for why some people are stuck in these dark places. One, is that we live in a sin sick world and sickness, poverty, defeat and all the works of the enemy are everywhere. Another one is that sometimes we open the door to those things when we don’t do God’s Word. People get hurt, rejected, disappointed, abused, and for the most part, people do not know how to take those things and lay them at the feet of Jesus and let Him heal them. The second part of our scripture today says, ” having the eyes of your hearts enlightened that you may know what is the hope to which He has call you and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe…”
Today, I encourage you to pray Ephesians 1:16-20. over your life. Ask God to give you wisdom, to show Himself to you more and more everyday. Pray for revelation of who He is and what great things He has done for you. Pray for Him to reveal how much He loves you. Pray for God to create a clean heart and renew a right spirit in you. These things will lead you to a liberty in Jesus you may have never known.
