Teach us to number our days…that we may gain wisdom ( Psalm 90:12) NIV
Time management has been a weak area for me. However, there are answers and suggestions to help us. Your priorities determine how you spend your time. It is up to us to set those priorities prayerfully and maintain them carefully. I have learned that wisdom consist in the elimination of non-essentials. You can have certain things, but you can’t have everything! You have to choose. You see, excellence comes from doing the right things right, and letting the rest go! If your not sure what the right things are, pretend you have only 6 months to live….you’ll figure it out.
There are many things vying for your attention. No matter what comes to steal your time and attention, stay focused on your God-given purpose. By focusing on the top 20 percent of your priorities, you generally get an 80 percent return on your effort. Get up every morning and say, ” Today, I’ll prioritize my life according to God’s will and give my energies to those things that help me fulfill it.” Your greatest possession is your next 24 hours. How will you spend it? If you don’t decide how your day will be spent, count on it—someone else will!
