Scripture of The Day
Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. (Joshua 1:6-8)
I so love the scripture above. Did you notice in verse 6 that God says, “you shall cause this people to inherit the land.” God told me that you and I will cause people, He sends our way, to inherit the land. The land being eternal life.
According to, Hebrew 4:12, “the word of God is alive and active. The description of the Bible as “living” means that it has a vital power inherent to itself. Paul says: “Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” I love Jeremiah 1:12 “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”
I guess what I am trying to say is that the Bible is not just a book. It is God’s Word. It is real and alive. I encourage you today to read it, listen to it, get it in your heart, and your mind. Allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, guide you, and to reveal revelation knowledge to you as you read what God says. We need His Word now more than ever!
