Scripture of The Day
Deuteronomy 8:18: But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
God gives us the ability to produce wealth. Have you ever really thought about that from a positive point of view? We have so many people that look at wealth and money as evil. Wealth and money are not evil. It is the love of money that will get you into trouble. The scripture tells us that every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights. Therefore, God’s gift to produce wealth is a good and perfect gift if you realize where the gift came from and don’t get caught up in pride and greed.
The Message Bible says it like this: If you start thinking to yourselves, “I did all this. And all by myself. I’m rich. It’s all mine!”—well, think again. Remember that GOD, your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that he promised to your ancestors—as it is today. Proverbs 13:22: A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous. The Amplified Bible says, “A good man leaves an inheritance [of moral stability and goodness] to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.”
Proverbs 3:13-16 in the Amplified Bible says, “Happy (blessed, fortunate, enviable) is the man who finds skillful and godly Wisdom, and the man who gets understanding [drawing it forth from God’s Word and life’s experiences], 14 For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, and the profit of it better than fine gold. 15 Skillful and godly wisdom is more precious than rubies; and nothing you can wish for is to be compared to her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand are riches and honor.” I believe there is an end-time transfer of wealth into the hands of men and women of God that walk in faith and Godly wisdom. This transfer is coming from the ungodly that don’t understand the wisdom of God and are just stacking it up for the righteous.
We need to pray for wisdom and understanding according to Ephesians 1:17-19 which says, “[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, 18 By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), 19 And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,”
