Scripture of The Day
For this is what the Lord says: “Even the captives of a mighty man will be taken, and the prey of a tyrant will be delivered; I will contend with the one who contends with you, and I will save your children. ” Isaiah 45:25
I just heard an incredible story of a famous minister whose daughter completely walk away from her husband, children, her ministry and her Lord. Her family was devastated. I can relate to this as I have had a son who was trapped in drugs for several years. I can’t begin to tell how hard those years were. My husband and I prayed every prayer we could think of for years. I thank the Lord for my prayer language because this was all I could pray many times, as I had no words to express the hurt, worry, anger, and other emotions flooding my soul.
There was nothing I could do to change the situation. There was nothing I could say to change the situation. I had to trust God completely. The one scripture I held on to was Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
I want to encourage you today, if you have someone in your family that has gone astray or one who has never come to Jesus, don’t give up on them. Get in God’s Word and pray. Claim the promises of God. He would that none should perish. If He did it for me and my family, He will do it for you!
