Scripture of The Day
Psalm 37:23: The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way.
When a man of God steps out in faith, God will then establish his steps.
The New International Version says, “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.”
Psalm 1:1-2 says, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord.”
When you are delighting in the Lord and delighting in His law, the Lord makes your steps firm and your
walk is blessed.
Romans 1:17 says, “The just shall live by faith.”
II Corinthians 5:7 says, “We walk by faith, and not by sight.”
Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith you cannot please God.”
When we step out in faith, not being moved by what we see around us, it pleases God and He establishes our steps. I believe that’s why God calls him a good man in Psalm 37:23; because he is stepping out in faith and that pleases God.
In Genesis 12, God told Abraham to leave his country, his relatives, and his father’s house and go to a land that He would show him.
Hebrews 11:8 says, “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”
Abraham heard from God, got the order and acted on it. Like Abraham, as you step out in faith when called to step, your steps will be ordered. If you got your orders from the Lord, you’re not waiting on God, He’s waiting on you.
James 2:17 in the Amplified Bible says, “So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).”
So take action, and start stepping!!!
