Scripture of The Day
“And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men” (Colossians 3:23).
I must say that I am not one for New Year’s resolutions. However, there are many things I want to improve on in 2024. Here at the halfway point of this year, I can see that I still need work. The word improve has several meanings. It means to achieve or produce something better than. It also means to advance or make progress in what is desirable, to make useful
additions or amendments.
I read a statement from John Maxwell and he said, “Improving yourself is the first step in improving everything else in your life.” That is so true. Giving God your best means continuously improving every day! Growth on the inside feeds growth on the outside.
What do you want for the second half of this year? What improvements do you want to make to give God your best? I Corinthians 10:31 says, “Do all to the glory of God.” Colossians 3:23 says, “And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
I so want to make improvements in areas of my life. I desire to be more like Him on this earth. Get ready for an exciting second half!
