Scripture of The Day
“I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:20
As a counselor, I get many calls from people who are overcome with loneliness. Have you ever experienced loneliness even in a crowded room? As many of you know, my sweet Ed went home to Heaven almost 4 years ago, and walking through his fight with the “C” word and finally saying goodbye was so very hard. To this very day, I miss him like crazy.
So many whose spouses have gone on to glory struggle with being lonely. It is a pretty empty feeling. Some have described loneliness as being without company. Some define it as being cut off from others or solitary. I have learned a few things that can help people escape the heavy weight of loneliness.
Remember that Jesus is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. He is loyal, He is present, and He is patient. He promises to be with us until the end of the age. There is not a moment that we are without His presence.
