“I repeat it: Don’t let worry enter your life. Live above the anxious cares about your personal needs.” Luke 12:29 (The Passion Translation)
In this life, we will all have times of plenty and times of need. In times of lack, we must never let worry overtake our hearts and minds. There is a reason Jesus tells us not to let worry enter our lives. Once it’s there, it spreads like wildfire to capture our attention and distract us from His goodness.
It is never too late to give our worries and cares to the Lord. I find myself doing that often. When the world and its cares try to come in and stir up worry and anxiety, I offer them up to the Lord and He takes their weight. God wants us to be free in His love, and there is no reason that we can’t be. Where worry creates chaos, His peace brings calm and clarity.
There is no need to worry because we do not have to figure out the provision details independently. We walk in what we know and do what we can, and we leave the rest with God. He will not fail to give us what we need. He is faithful and true, and he can be trusted.
Philippians 4:19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
I Peter 5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you.
